Ko Tan is little frequented by tourists. The island is accessible only by boat. The usual way to Ko Tan is from the fishing village Thong Krut on the south coast of Samui, which faces Ko Tan. It is possible to arrange individual day trips to Ko Tan there. There are also companies offering trips to the island from other places which include a much longer trip on larger and more comfortable boats. The island has several beaches suitable for snorkeling. The island is surrounded by coral reefs, which survived and partly recovered from the widespread dynamite fishing in the region until the 1980s.
The most convenient snorkeling trips are available in Koh Samui. Just off the south coast of Samui, a group of tiny islands offers great snorkeling, reachable by Longtail boat. The trip starts at 13.00 pm. and finishes at 19.00 pm.

the area, where the fish are gorgeous and plentiful
* Arrive at Mad-Sum, a natural beach where you can swim or relax on the
beach.
6.00 – 6.30 PM Come back to Pang-Ka Pier,
Transfer to your hotel, arriving around 7.00 – 7.30 PM.
Travelling by Longtail boat can be raft and fun but it can also be bumpy. We do not recommend it for women who are heavily pregnant or if you have a bad lower back. The Longtail boat company for this tour is ‘T.K. Tour.” Multiple companies also run this same trip such as Mr. Man, Travel Zone Sea Tour.
